The fun of searching for a dream property in France can soon become a nightmare if you don't prepare properly for your search. House purchase here is a very different proposition to that of the UK. Every question leads to ten more and it can end up being worse than having a baby - at least that's according to my wife Joyce.

Bed and breakfast places and small hotels are ok, but sometimes you need your own personal space to curl up and talk through things in comfort and privacy, yet at the same time have someone on hand to answer the seemingly endless questions that crop up.


We are always on hand to help answer questions (can't promise to answer them all but if I don't know then I'll tell you) and give advice based on our own experience. Joyce and I are always more than happy to spend time chatting about purchase, renovations and the practicalities of settling in France during your stay with us,but be prepared for a long discussion, and it's thirsty work!
