Bear in mind that the Limousin is probably much larger than you imagine and, being a largely rural area, properties are usually widely dispersed. Agents generally insist on appointments and will normally insist on accompanying you. It is unusual for them to give you details of location so you can view yourself. Be selective as you are unlikely to fit more than three viewings into a day unless you want to suffer from exhaustion, and lunchtime is not a good time for viewing! Most agents have English speaking staff and have contracts which can be drawn up with an English translation. Failing this, remember it is your right as a buyer to choose the Notaire (the official conveyancer) so if you are buying in the Limousin region then choose one that speaks English.
